Liverpool Healthy Lungs Programme

This programme is known as the Liverpool Healthy Lung Programme.  You can find out more about it online here: http://www.liverpoolccg.nhs.uk/health-and-services/healthy-lungs 

The clinics will be offered to people aged 58-75 who have ever smoked or who have COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).  If you are in this group you should receive a clinic invite letter to invite you to book an appointment.  This service is separate to the practice and any queries should be direct to the service.  

Once booked in you will see a specialist lung nurse who will ask about your general health and also some questions about your lungs and breathing. You will have a spirometry and the nurses will assess your risk of lung cancer using a Lung Risk Score.
